Animal Ice Packs – large
Are a great way for keeping our fur babies cool in summer, is it very important as they can easily over heat and go downhill very quickly.
Our Animal ice pack covers are made from a fabric which is soft on the inside and waterproof on the outside. This allows the cool to get through without soaking the material.
Animal ice packs come in a range of colours and patterns and are a much more convenient way of covering ice bricks rather than using tea towels and hand towels (looks nicer, easier to wash, ice bricks stay covered, don’t get soaked like towels do).
Non toxic ice brick included.
There is a Velcro slip at the opening to easily slide the ice brick in and out of. Machine washable.
Large size- 23cm x 38cm

Why do we need to keep small animals cool?
Small pets, such as rabbits, guinea pigs and birds, are particularly susceptible to heat. Please bring these animals indoors during hot weather. If allowed free run in a laundry or bathroom, they will benefit from the cool tiles. If this is not possible, drape their cage with wet towels and provide a sturdy Animal ice pack for the animal to lean against so it can to regulate its own body temperature. Make sure the animals’ enclosures are out of direct sunlight and protected from the sun as the shade moves throughout the day.

Top 5 tips to keep guinea pigs cool in the heat
As the weather gets warmer, it’s important to be aware of the risk of heatstroke in pets. Guinea pigs are particularly vulnerable to high temperatures, so it’s important to take steps to keep them cool. Here are 5 top tips:
1. Place your guinea pig’s cage in a cool, shaded spot or inside with the air conditioning.
2. Add a frozen Animal ice pack small to their cage
3. Freeze some fruits and vegetables overnight, then place them in the enclosure during the day. Your guinea pigs will enjoy the cold snacks and they’ll help to keep the area cool.
4. Give them lots of fresh, cool water to drink.
5. Keep your guinea pig’s cage out of direct sunlight. If possible, move the cage to a shady spot or cover it with a light cloth.
