Who’s Caring for Your Pet
Bree worked as a veterinary nurse for 14 years before founding Bree & Co. That background means medication, syringe feeding and spotting the early signs that something isn’t right are all familiar territory — which matters when you’re leaving a small, fragile animal in someone else’s care.
Bree & Co began at home with a sewing machine, a love of rabbits and guinea pigs, and boarding run from the family home. When owners kept asking for the boarding service to return, we converted part of our Kilsyth warehouse into dedicated rabbit and guinea pig boarding rooms — accommodation designed entirely around small animals, rather than somewhere small pets are simply added alongside cats and dogs.
We’re proudly Australian family owned and operated. Many of our team are small animal owners themselves, and the bedding, cages and liners your pet stays in are the same ones we make here in Kilsyth and use in our own homes.
Health Requirements
These protect every pet in our care and are strictly enforced — bookings without valid proof cannot be accepted at check-in.
| Requirement | Guinea Pigs | Rabbits |
|---|---|---|
| Flea & mite treatment | Within last 3 months | Within last 3 months |
| Calicivirus (RHDV) vaccination | Not required | Required, at least 14 days before |
| Proof deadline | At booking, or emailed 48 hours before check-in | |
Treatments must be vet-prescribed — such as Revolution (selamectin). Over-the-counter flea treatments made for cats or dogs are not accepted, as many are toxic to guinea pigs and rabbits. Email proof to [email protected], or upload it when you book.
