Bree & Co Small Animal Boarding Terms & Conditions

General Admission Policy

  • The owner guarantees that any known health or behavioral concerns regarding their guinea pig(s) or rabbit(s) have been fully disclosed prior to boarding. Pets are considered healthy and fit for boarding unless otherwise stated.
  • Bree & Co reserves the right to refuse boarding for any animal that appears to be unwell or has undisclosed medical conditions upon arrival, without providing further explanation.
  • All pets must arrive clean and well-groomed. If grooming or bathing is required, additional fees will be applied.

Pick-up and Collection

  • For your pet’s safety, all animals must arrive and depart in an appropriate, secure carrier.
  • Drop-off and pick-up must occur during designated hours. If alternative times are required, please email us at info@breeandco.com.au. After-hours collection can be arranged in advance for an additional fee.
  • Drop-off hours are from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, and pick-up hours are from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
  • Please note there will be no drop offs or pick ups on Christmas day and new years day.
  • If a pet is not collected within 14 days of the scheduled departure and the owner has not made contact, Bree & Co reserves the right to surrender or rehome the animal.
  • Boarding fees will continue to accrue for each additional day the pet remains with Bree & Co, charged at a higher rate.
  • If someone other than the owner is collecting the pet, written consent from the owner is required, and the individual must present valid photo identification.

Payment Terms

  • Full payment for boarding services, veterinary care, and any additional services is required at the time of booking.
  • A $50 cancellation fee applies to cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled boarding period.
  • Any extra charges incurred during the stay, such as veterinary care or extended stays, must be paid in full before the pet can be collected.

Veterinary Care

  • If your guinea pig(s) or rabbit(s) require veterinary care during their stay, all associated costs will be the owner’s responsibility.
  • Bree & Co will make every reasonable effort to contact the owner or emergency contact before seeking treatment, unless it is an emergency.
  • A transportation fee will be applied if veterinary transport is required.

Health and Vaccination Requirements

  • All rabbits must be vaccinated against Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) at least 14 days before boarding. Proof of current vaccination must be provided at check-in.
  • All pets must be free from fleas, mites, and other parasites upon arrival. If a pet arrives with parasites, Bree & Co reserves the right to refuse boarding or treat the animal at the owner’s expense.
  • Pets displaying signs of illness, infection, or poor health at admission may be refused boarding to protect the health of all boarders.

Liability and Indemnity

  • Bree & Co takes all necessary precautions to ensure the well-being of every pet in our care. However, we cannot be held responsible for any injury, illness, death, loss, or damages that may occur during the pet’s stay.
  • Bree & Co is not responsible for complications arising from pre-existing conditions, such as respiratory infections or digestive issues, that may worsen during the boarding period.

Boarding Policy for Guinea Pigs and Rabbits

  • Bree & Co provides a stress-free and comfortable environment for all boarders. Owners are encouraged to provide detailed care instructions, including diet, medications, and special needs.
  • If a pet experiences extreme stress or anxiety during their stay, the owner will be contacted to discuss possible solutions.
  • Enclosures are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between boarders to maintain the highest hygiene standards.

Emergencies and Contact Information

  • The owner must provide up-to-date contact details and an emergency contact who is authorized to make decisions if the owner is unreachable.
  • In the case of an emergency, such as a fire or natural disaster, Bree & Co will make every reasonable effort to ensure the safety and evacuation of all pets.

Abandoned Animals

  • If a pet is not collected within 14 days of the scheduled pick-up date and no alternative arrangements have been made, the pet will be considered abandoned.
  • Bree & Co reserves the right to rehome or surrender the pet to a local shelter or pound.

Acknowledgment

  •  I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to adhere to Bree & Co’s Terms and Conditions for small animal boarding.
  • I acknowledge that my pet(s) will be boarded at my own risk, and Bree & Co will not be held liable for any loss, injury, illness, or death that may occur during their stay.
