How To Prepare For Syringe Feeding
- Mix 1 part Excel DualCare with 2 parts warm water.
- Allow to soak for approximately 3 to 4 minutes.
- Stir into a smooth paste.
- Draw the mixture into a feeding syringe.
- Offer small amounts at a time, allowing your pet to swallow comfortably.
- Prepare fresh food for each feeding session.
When syringe feeding, offer approximately 1-2ml at a time and allow your rabbit or guinea pig the opportunity to swallow before continuing.
Feeding During Recovery
As recovery progresses, Burgess Excel DualCare can be offered as dry nuggets alongside fresh hay and water. Once your pet has recovered, gradually transition back to their normal rabbit or guinea pig food.
Fresh quality hay and clean drinking water should be available at all times.
